SolidBoss Worldwide, Inc. was incorporated in 2005 when AirBoss of America Corp. decided to discontinue their involvement in the Off-Road Construction Vehicle Tire program. Robert Gilkenson formed the company primarily around the AirBoss® segmented tires and SolidBoss® solid tires with plans to expand into a variety of product lines. Robert’s history in selling these tires dates back to 1998 and he brings with him an extensive background in sales and marketing of various types of related items.
AirBossâ Tires are widely used as they effectively solve the problems associated with flats and pneumatic tires while not damaging equipment, as can other alternatives to flat-proofing pneumatic tires. In addition, users find that AirBossâ Tires can lower their overall cost per hour of operation. The unique patented technology involves hollow rubber (non-pneumatic) segments bolted to a flat base wheel to form a tire. Factory approvals for skid-steer loaders were obtained by AirBoss from all the major Original Equipment Manufacturers by mid-1992. Subsequently, as new sizes for different applications were developed and as companies launched new machine types, many additional firms also tested and approved AirBossâ Tire Products. Besides being used by Original Equipment Manufacturers, AirBossâ Tires are sold through a network of distributors and dealers in the USA, Canada, Caribbean, Europe and Asia. AirBoss also holds the exclusive rights for Mexico.
The SolidBossâ Tires program was developed to compliment our segmented tires in applications where customers require or prefer a solid tire. A variety of sizes, tread patterns and construction types are available to customize to any type of equipment. These tires are used in applications such as recycling, waste management, mining, demolition, foundries, and scrap yards among others.
New product lines such as Tracks, Sealant, Cart Tires, and Import Tires
have been developed and are adding to our sales to service our customers.
