SolidBoss Worldwide, Inc. was incorporated in 2005 when AirBoss of America Corp. discontinued their involvement in the Off-Road Construction Vehicle Tire program.  CEO Robert Gilkenson formed the company primarily around the AirBoss® segmented tires and SolidBoss® solid tires with an eye on emerging product lines.  Gilkenson’s experience selling heavy equipment tires, and construction tires, such as  solid skid steer tires, dates back to 1998. His extensive background in sales and marketing of related products re-energized the product lines.

AirBoss® Tires are widely used as they effectively solve the problems associated with flats and pneumatic tires without damaging equipment, as can other alternatives to flat-proofing pneumatic tires.  In addition, users find that AirBoss® Tires can lower their overall cost per hour of operation.  The unique patented technology involves hollow rubber (non-pneumatic) segments bolted to a flat base wheel to form a tire.  Factory approvals for skid loaders were obtained by AirBoss from all the major Original Equipment Manufacturers by mid-1992. As new machine types emerged with new tire size and application requirements, many additional firms have also tested and approved AirBoss tire products. 

Besides being used by Original Equipment Manufacturers, AirBoss tires are sold through a network of distributors and dealers in the USA, Canada, Caribbean, Europe and Asia. SolidBoss Worldwide, Inc. also holds the exclusive rights for Mexico. By maintaining this broad and deep network, we have ensured that our construction tires suppliers are available to meet growing industry needs for puncture proof tires.

The SolidBoss® Tires program was developed to compliment our segmented tires in applications where customers require, or prefer, a solid tire. We build into all our tires heavy duty natural rubber content to provide long wear and sturdy performance in challenging environments. A variety of sizes, tread patterns and construction types are available to custom-fit any type of equipment.  Typical applications for these tires are recycling, waste management, mining, demolition, foundries, and scrap yards among others.
